July Meeting Recap

If you missed our July meeting, we talked about Apple’s upcoming macOS Sierra and the wonders of iOS 10 – it looks amazing and you can be part of it, before the general release. If you missed the meeting or missed the link, we had a real time demo of fake virus pop ups and installing malicious software on to a demo Mac.

Just a reminder: if you are getting virus pop ups —

  1. it’s FAKE
  2. Do NOT call the number listed
  3. Force quit Safari, or web browser
  4. Hold down shift key and restart your web browser
  5. If pop ups persist, you may have malware
  6. use this link: malware bytes
  7. download, install and run.
